HOW IT WORKS
Installation
A trained technician will covertly install the VectorTrac Locator Unit (VLU) within your asset or equipment. The VLU does not require connection to an external power source and will not drain your equipment batteries or interfere with sensitive electrical systems. Installation typically takes less than 30 minutes.
Daily Status Monitoring
The VectorTrac VLU transmits a daily status message to the Tracking Center letting them know that the device is functioning properly.
Activation and Tracking
Should your vehicle be stolen, immediately report the theft to the police and then call the VectorTrac Tracking Center. The device is remotely activated and recovery is coordinated with local law enforcement. VectorTrac works with all police services in Canada and the U.S. to recover stolen assets. In Canada VectorTrac dispatches trackers working with our 24/7 monitoring centre to locate and identify your vehicle or asset. Each tracking vehicle has specialized RF tracking equipment capable of locating stolen vehicles and high-value assets hidden in shipping containers, storage units, garages, and other places where GPS won’t work. With the cellular based VectorTrac unit and RF technology, there is no place to hide.
